Extreme Mode

iceomenUpdated 9/4/2026

Extreme is Veridia’s slowest progression mode. XP starts at 10x and falls to 1x at prestige 10. In return, it offers larger unique-drop bonuses, prestige fee discounts and paid-prestige remnant rewards than Realism.

Choosing Extreme

Choose Extreme during account setup to start as a Fresh account. Extreme is separate from your account type: Regular, Ironman, Hardcore Ironman and Ultimate Ironman can use it. Group Ironman cannot choose Realism or Extreme.

Extreme is permanent. You cannot downgrade to Realism or Normal, and there is no further rebirth from Extreme.

An existing Normal or Realism account that has not used its lifetime rebirth can enter Extreme through The Chronicler at Home.

XP rates

Each skill uses the rate for its own prestige level. P0 means the skill has not been prestiged.

  • P0 and P1: 10x

  • P2: 9x

  • P3: 8x

  • P4: 7x

  • P5: 6x

  • P6: 5x

  • P7: 4x

  • P8: 3x

  • P9: 2x

  • P10: 1x

Starting rewards

  • 20% higher chance at selected boss and raid uniques.

  • 5% chance to receive an extra copy of a qualifying unique.

  • 15% discount on prestige fees.

  • 100% more remnants from paid prestiges.

Mastery rewards

Mastery is based on prestige across your account. You must meet both requirements for a tier. The rewards below replace the starting bonuses; they do not add together.

Mastery I

Requires 50 total prestige and at least 10 skills at P3 or higher.

  • 35% higher unique chance.

  • 12% unique duplication chance.

  • 25% prestige fee discount.

Mastery II

Requires 100 total prestige and at least 15 skills at P5 or higher.

  • 50% higher unique chance.

  • 22% unique duplication chance.

  • 35% prestige fee discount.

Mastery III

Requires 200 total prestige and at least 20 skills at P8 or higher.

  • 70% higher unique chance.

  • 35% unique duplication chance.

  • 45% prestige fee discount.

The 100% bonus to remnants from paid prestiges stays the same at every Mastery tier. Prestige vouchers cannot be used in Extreme.

How unique bonuses work

These bonuses apply to selected boss and raid uniques, not every rare drop. Pets, clues and other drops outside that selection do not receive these mode bonuses.

A higher unique chance is a relative boost, not a guaranteed drop or that percentage chance on every kill. Other drop bonuses and encounter caps can affect the final chance.

Duplication is a separate chance after a qualifying unique is awarded. A successful roll gives one extra copy. It does not add another copy when the same reward has already been duplicated by the Well or the encounter itself.

Prestige fee discounts combine with donator discounts in sequence, with a maximum combined discount of 65%.

Fresh and Reborn

Fresh accounts have never rebirthed. Reborn accounts have reset into Extreme while keeping their possessions and completed content. They have separate hiscores groups.

Reborn Extreme starts with every prestige at P0 and the starting reward tier. Previous prestige and Mastery do not carry over. Your account restrictions remain in place, and you cannot rebirth again.
