Ferrulith - Community Boss
Ferrulith
Ferrulith is Veridia’s community skilling boss. Players across the server awaken this ancient golem by gaining skill levels, then work together to defeat it before it returns to its slumber.
The encounter combines traditional combat with Mining mechanics. Bring your usual combat equipment, a suitable pickaxe, and be prepared to react to attacks across the arena.
Awakening Ferrulith
Every skill level gained contributes towards Ferrulith’s awakening.
Enter ::skillingboss while Ferrulith is dormant to view the community’s current progress.
The amount contributed by each level depends on:
The level reached
Your prestige in that skill
Your progression mode
Higher levels contribute more than lower levels. Realism and Extreme players receive additional weighting to account for their slower experience rates.
Progression modes apply the following multipliers:
Normal: ×1
Realism: ×2
Extreme: ×5
If one experience drop grants several levels, each crossed level is calculated separately. The higher weighting of the final level is not applied to the entire jump.
Progress continues to accumulate while Ferrulith is already awake. Any excess progress carries into the next awakening rather than being lost.
Joining the Fight
When Ferrulith awakens, a server-wide announcement will appear.
Enter ::skillingboss to teleport beside the active encounter. Normal teleport restrictions still apply.
Ferrulith remains awake for approximately 10 minutes. If it is not defeated before the timer expires, it disappears and no rewards are awarded.
Encounter Information
Ferrulith is combat level 300 and begins with at least 2,000 Hitpoints.
Its health scales when it awakens, gaining 80 additional Hitpoints for every online player after the first. This is capped at 3,500 Hitpoints and is based on the total number of players online, not only those who enter the arena.
Combat experience earned against Ferrulith is reduced to 87.5% of the normal amount.
Stone Pulse
When its target is nearby, Ferrulith releases a melee-based pulse around itself.
The pulse reaches approximately four tiles from Ferrulith’s centre and can hit up to 25. Players fighting at close range should keep Protect from Melee ready.
Earth Break
When attacking players at a distance, Ferrulith marks occupied tiles before dropping rocks onto them.
Up to five player positions can be selected at once.
Rocks strike approximately 2.4 seconds after the warning appears.
Remaining on a marked tile deals 12–18 damage.
Moving away before impact avoids the attack.
Protect from Missiles completely blocks the damage.
Ground Slam
Ferrulith periodically stops attacking and begins charging a Ground Slam.
It uses this attack every Eight to Fifteen attacks while above half health and every six to eight attacks while below half health.
The charge lasts 15 seconds and is shown through Ferrulith’s charge bar. Three unstable boulders fall near the boss shortly after the charge begins.
Players can interrupt the attack by mining all three boulders before the charge finishes.
Each boulder:
Requires a suitable pickaxe.
Takes approximately 1.2 seconds to mine.
Awards 50 Mining experience.
Deals 50 damage to Ferrulith.
Counts towards the miner’s reward contribution.
All three boulders must be destroyed to cancel the Ground Slam.
If the team fails, four shockwaves travel outwards from Ferrulith. Each wave deals 10-20 damage and knocks affected players away from the boss. Protect from Melee halves this damage.
Reward Contribution
To receive a reward bundle, you must personally contribute at least 0.1% of all player damage dealt during the fight.
Damage dealt by mining Ground Slam boulders counts towards this requirement.
Once you reach the minimum requirement, you qualify for one complete reward bundle.
