Veridia 2.8.0 — Prestige Relics, Skilling Visitors, and Managing Miscellania

We have added Prestige Points and a new Prestige Relic Shop, so prestiging a skill now earns you permanent relics. Managing Miscellania has also been reworked to match OSRS, and random-event visitors now appear during long skilling sessions.

Prestige Points

You now earn Prestige Points every time you prestige a skill. These are a new currency and are separate from remnant points. Higher prestige levels give more points, and Realism and Extreme earn 2x and 4x.

To spend them, talk to the Prestige Master and select Shop. Your balance is shown in the shop title.

Prestige Relic Shop

When you buy a relic you get it as an item, and it starts switched off. The Banker's Note is the exception and works straight away. Use Activate to switch it on, and the relic will glow while it's active. You can switch it off again with Deactivate, or Inspect it to see what it does.

If you lose a relic, click it in the shop again and you will get it back for free.

  • Production Master (35,000): these production actions make one item every tick, with full XP.

    • Smithing: smelting, smithing at an anvil and cannonballs.

    • Fletching: logs and bolt tips.

    • Herblore: herb cleaning and potions.

    • Cooking, including wine.

    • Crafting.

  • Banker's Note (30,000): use an item on the note to note / un-note it. It works like the Leagues note, with Activate, Toggle and quantity options. It can't be used in PvP, instances or combat.

  • Equilibrium (25,000): every XP drop gives bonus XP equal to a tenth of your total level. This doesn't apply to Production Master actions.

  • Weapon Master (30,000): your special attacks always hit NPCs, and your special energy recharges faster while you are fighting them.

  • Tick Increase: Melee, Ranged and Magic (65,000 each): against NPCs, weapons of that style that attack every 4 ticks or slower attack one tick faster, but never faster than 3 ticks.

The tick relics cost more than the rest. This is because taking a tick off your weapon is a big damage increase, so they are meant to be something you work towards.

Skilling Visitors

We have added skilling visitors to stop people from leaving autoclickers running unattended for hours. If you are actually at your keyboard, a visitor only takes a few seconds to answer and gives you some free XP. If nobody is there to answer, skilling will stop within a few hours. Visitors don't appear in the AFK Skilling Zone, so you can still AFK there.

After 45 to 75 minutes of non-combat skilling, a random-event visitor will follow you with a hint arrow. This can be the Genie, the Sandwich lady, the Mysterious Old Man and a few others. Talk to them within two minutes to get some XP in the skill you are training, or Dismiss them to carry on without the reward.

If you ignore a visitor, you will need to rest from skilling for 2 minutes, then 5 minutes the next time. If you miss three in a row, you will be too tired to skill until you talk to one.

  • The Market Guard is now the visitor for coin stalls, and its coin tip is capped at 500,000.

  • Visitors also don't appear in player-owned houses, the Wilderness, or instances and minigames that already disable random events.

Managing Miscellania

Approval now uses the OSRS scale and drops a little every UTC midnight, down to a 25% floor. Your current approval carries over. Your subjects get paid a daily wage from the coffers and gather using the OSRS amounts, including secondary loot. The storerooms fill after about 230 days, and collection pauses after 30 days away from the islands.

Chores now count towards approval. On Miscellania you can rake the herb and flax plots, chop maples, mine coal and fish. On Etceteria you can chop teak and mahogany and help Farmer Fromund. Buying from the Flower Girl and Gardener Gunnhild counts too. What you gather goes to the citizen doing that work. This means you keep the XP and don't need any inventory space.

  • Advisor Ghrim now uses his OSRS dialogue, and citizens and traders have a Check-Approval option.

  • The coffers now ask how much you want to deposit / withdraw.

  • Seeds you already keep in the seed vault are sent there when you collect.

  • The hardwood and farming-seed worker sections now show up after Royal Trouble.

  • The RuneLite Kingdom of Miscellania plugin now shows the correct approval and coffer.

Gameplay & Rewards

  • Sarachnis now fights like she does in OSRS. She has a 31 max hit and a 4-tick attack speed, is immune to poison and venom, and respawns after 17 ticks.

  • Vardorvis is now immune to poison and venom, and the Leviathan and Duke Sucellus turn venom into poison.

  • Completionist cape requirements now depend on your progression mode. Every mode needs 3, 6 or 9 fully completed achievement diary areas.

  • The gathering prestige bonus now gives XP for the extra resources it adds.

  • Drop rate bonuses no longer apply twice to Spindel's Voidwaker gem, Treasonous ring, fangs and dragon pickaxe.

  • Drop rate bonuses no longer lower the unsired's chance of giving an Abyssal bludgeon piece.

Quality of Life

  • We have added the Taverley wall shortcut. With 66 Agility you can climb over Taverley's east wall for 25 Agility XP.

  • The home Tools Store now sells jugs of water for 5 coins.

  • If you only have the ingredients for one potion, it is now made straight away without a make menu.

  • The home Tools Store now stocks 10,000 dark fishing bait

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where skill guides, books and the collection log would close as soon as you moved.

  • Fixed an issue where make menus would forget your chosen option, and the spacebar would pick the wrong potion.

  • Fixed an issue where RuneLite farming timers showed freshly planted patches as done.

  • Fixed an issue where the RuneLite Thrall timer ignored the extra duration from Hunter prestige and combat achievements.

  • Fixed an issue where Sarachnis would web you almost every tick in the Forthos Dungeon lair.

  • Fixed an issue where the Whisperer would stop chasing before reaching melee range while you were bound.

  • Fixed an issue where javelin fletching only made about half the batches you asked for.

  • Fixed an issue where the infernal pickaxe only gave Smithing XP for one ore when it smelted several.

  • Fixed an issue where rune thrownaxe special attack bounces checked accuracy against the wrong target.

  • Fixed an issue where Master Fisherman and Master Miner messages showed up when the perk didn't double the catch or ore.

  • Fixed an issue where players with Sleight of Hand couldn't spam-click stalls.

  • Fixed an issue where the kill log added a boss's kill count to your streak instead of its streak.

  • Fixed an issue where the middle-man trade return message said your items went to the bank when some went to your inventory.

  • Fixed an issue where the Miscellania and Etceteria patches said "You can't reach that" when clicked.
