Veridia 0.38.0 - Prestige Titles, Two Factor Authentication and General Fixes

This update brings in Prestige title selection, fixes a lot of Tempoross behavior, gets Otto’s Grotto pyre ships working properly, and cleans up several useful items, perks, and account security checks.

Highlights

• Prestige titles can now be selected or cleared through the Prestige Master.

• Tempoross wave attacks, harpoonfish timing, damage values, fires, and visuals have been fixed.

• Otto’s Grotto pyre ships now work with chewed bones, supported logs, XP, rewards, and the dragon full helm roll.

• Champion runecrafting talisman now uses a cleaner altar menu.

• Two-Factor authentication is now available for accounts.

• Wrath altar access now requires a wrath talisman or equipped wrath tiara.

• Basilisk Ward now protects against basilisk enemies without needing mirror shield or V’s shield equipped.

• Rogue outfit and Thieving prestige bonus rolls now stack properly.

Prestige Titles

The Prestige Master now has a Titles option.

From there, you can pick from your unlocked prestige titles or clear your active title.

Prestige titles now update straight away after changing them, and selected titles now show as a gold prefix on player names. Clearing a title should also remove it cleanly.

This is the first iteration of the titles so expect changes.

Runecrafting and Wrath Altar

The Champion runecrafting talisman has been cleaned up.

Instead of paging through chatbox options, it now opens a sectioned central altar menu.

The Wrath teleport now lands outside the Wrath altar at the ruins, and entering the Wrath altar now requires either:

• A wrath talisman in your inventory

• A wrath tiara equipped

Tempoross

Tempoross had a large mechanics and visual pass.

Fixed Tempoross behavior includes:

• Blue wave visuals now play during wave attacks.

• Tether checks and knockback now happen at the end of the wave instead of the start.

• Wave, tether, cannon, lightning, and splash visuals now use the correct effects.

• Harpoonfish catches now follow the correct four-tick repeat timing.

• Cannon damage, spirit-pool max hits, repairs, and fire activity points now use the correct values.

• Lightning fires now spawn, clear, and support dousing properly.

Should be ready in the next couple updates before release!

Otto’s Grotto and Pyre Ships

Otto’s Grotto pyre ships now work properly.

Construct now builds an empty pyre ship first, before chewed bones can be added and lit.

Chewed bones now work with supported logs, award the correct Firemaking and Crafting XP, roll pyre rewards, and can award the dragon full helm.

Prayer bonus handling for chewed-bones pyres has also been fixed. Boosted bury and scatter uses now queue in burn order, only apply to manual offerings, and using magic logs can complete the Kandarin elite pyre task.
Note: This is still a little wonky but it works now.

Perks, Tools, and Skilling Rewards

A few useful item and perk fixes made it in.

• Basilisk Ward now lets you keep mirror shield and V’s shield protection against basilisks, basilisk knights, and basilisk sentinels without equipping those shields.

• Imcando hammer now counts as a hammer from your inventory or equipped weapon slot when smithing.

• Rogue outfit and Thieving prestige extra-copy rolls now stack additively.

• NPC pickpockets can now give triple rewards when both bonuses roll.

• Coin-pouch pickpockets now give one pouch plus direct coin rewards for each extra copy.

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication is now available for Veridia accounts.

Once enabled through the website, your account will require an authenticator code when logging into the game.

Trusted computers are also supported, so you can save a device after entering a valid code.

Boss and Combat Fixes

A few boss and combat issues were cleaned up too.

• Nechryael and Nechryarch death spawns now trigger player auto-retaliate when they land hits.

• Vorkath not having any drops is fixed.

• You should no longer be blocked from entering an instance for Duke Sucellus if you have a stale instance on your acc.

Estate Agents

Estate agents have had their options and dialogue cleaned up.

Both OSRS estate agent variants now expose the expected options:

• Talk-to

• Relocate

• Redecorate

Existing house owners should now get the full owned-house menu.

Starter house, relocation, redecoration, guide book, and Construction skillcape dialogue branches have also been cleaned up.
